Both C-print and giclee are paper prints that require framing. If you've ever visited a picture framing shop, you know that framing can be very expensive. Prints on paper have a lower initial cost, but the added cost of framing may entirely erase that difference.
Prints on canvas, aluminum, and acrylic commonly need no framing. The initial cost is higher but you likely avoid any further expense for framing.

Printing for NewEngland.photo is outsourced to reputable trusted print labs. We commonly rely upon specific labs to print on specific materials. For example, a single image printed on paper and also on aluminum (a.k.a. vivid metal) may be done by two separate labs, each charging separate fees for shipping and handling. The print labs dictate the shipping & handling costs, not NewEngland.photo.
Also note that shipping & handling for paper prints is simpler than shipping & handling for canvas, acrylic, and metal prints.
